Business Development Manager - Uzbekistan

Frontier is a UK-based business research firm focussed on emerging markets. Our current coverage spans several countries in North Africa and South-East Asia, and in 2019 we are opening an office in Uzbekistan. 

We provide subscription-based and customised research services on different sectors of the economy. Our coverage spans news, projects, companies, data, tenders and other content. Our clients include private-sector companies of all sizes, IFIs, public-sector entities, NGOs and other organisations.

We are now looking to hire a Business Development Manager, based in Tashkent, to play a key role in successfully launching and running our Uzbekistan coverage.

This is an opportunity to be part of a fast-growing business and will require a range of skillsets, including business development, sales, client management and research, networking and more.

Specific responsibilities will include:

·        Identifying, contacting and meeting potential clients

·        Presenting our subscription and customised research services

·        Drafting proposals and negotiating contracts

·        Managing ongoing client relationships

·        Providing ideas on product and service development

·        Representing the company at events in Uzbekistan and overseas

·        Working closely with our research and editorial team

The ideal candidate will:

·        Have at least three years of experience in a related field

·        Be able to demonstrate a history of meeting targets

·        Have experience managing more junior staff

·        Be fluent in written and spoken English

·        Be commercially driven, dynamic and outgoing

·        Be familiar with the type of services being offered by Frontier 

·        Be comfortable interacting with both local and foreign companies

Salary: Dependent on experience
