Frontier Myanmar is now FMR Research

It’s been an eventful three years for Frontier Myanmar Research.

We’ve reached a number of milestones since our 2014 launch, and now have three dynamic subscription services covering an array of industries.

Our Myanmar Real Estate and Construction Monitor went live back in summer 2014, and was followed a year later by the Myanmar Energy Monitor, while our new Myanmar Transport Infrastructure Monitor was launched in early 2017.

We’re continuing with our mission of providing in-depth, accurate and useful information on the Myanmar market – though we will now be doing so under a new brand, as FMR Research and Advisory.

FMR’s research team continues to monitor and uncover the latest developments in the strategically vital sectors of real estate and construction, energy, and transport infrastructure.

Some of our recently published Q&As with key industry players, for example, help provide clarity in an opaque market. They include business leaders such as Maersk’s Flora Pintusoontorn, U Sithu Moe Myint from MPRL and MAPCO’s U Ye Min Aung.

In addition to our three monitor services, FMR continues to undertake customised research projects and is actively involved in a range of events. Some highlights are as follows:

Custom Research

FMR continues to work on specific research projects for local and international clients, spanning an array of industries. Our team is able to harness our extensive data and resource library, as well as on-the-ground interview capabilities, to conduct in-depth analysis, either as part of on a larger project, or as the main advisory actor.

Some recent examples include a country-wide fuel distribution and retail study, a detailed analysis of the economic and demographic outlook for a specific state, an assessment of the serviced apartment and office market in Yangon, a review of Myanmar’s gas industry and structure, and an analysis of key government legislation concerning urban development for an international contractor.
